Australian Visa Specialist

Rob is the principal at AVS and has over 15 years of experience in visas, appeals and related immigration matters. Rob’s passion for the industry stemmed from his own parents’ migration to Australia from Vietnam, during the 1970s as refugees.

Being a second-generation immigrant, Rob was able to see first-hand, the real benefits migration provided to the Australian communities and the broader economy. Being a believer in ‘Big Australia’, Rob decided to follow his love and passion for immigration and started his career at the largest global immigration law firm, Fragomen after graduating from double degrees in Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Laws in 2004, with Western Sydney University. Rob then went on to complete his post-graduate qualification in Migration Law with the Australian National University at High Distinction levels. Rob also graduated at the top of his class for this course. 

Since graduating, Rob has continued working in the immigration industry until this day, having previously worked at Ernst & Young (EY), PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) & KPMG at a senior management role where he was overseeing the immigration team of 20+ Consultants, Lawyers and Agents. 

During Rob’s time in corporate life, he has been offered partnership roles, however decided to follow his love and passion of starting his own business. Rob believed he would be able to service his clients far better, using his own unique business model which has proven to be successful. Since starting his business, the industries which have signed up for on-going services, includes Engineering, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Innovative Technologies, Medical Health, Recruitment, Hospitality, Insurance, Investment Banking, Universities & Private Schools. 

Most of AVS’ clients are Australia’s largest firms in their respective fields, however, AVS also specialises in start-up entities, who are only in their first year of operations, such as mum and dad’s small restaurants and hair salons. These applications requires additional care – needing business plans, staffing and financial projections, financial letters of undertaking etc.

Legal Support

Raymond is a value member of the team, and has over 8 years of professional immigration experience. Raymond also used to work with Rob at PwC and provides back office & administrative support for visa applications. His experience lies with the big five consulting firms Accenture & PwC, where he acted as a Team Leader of the Australian immigration’s service delivery centre. He has earned a Bachelor of Managerial Accounting in the Philippines.
